How Much Is Your Home Worth?

If you’ve ever been to Knoxville in the spring, you’ve likely seen East Tennessee at its finest — streets lined with blooming dogwood trees, vibrant art displays, and community events that bring everyone together. But Dogwood Arts is so much more than just a spring festival — it’s a year-round celebration of the natural beauty, culture, and creativity that make Knoxville such a special place to live.
Founded in the 1950s as a civic beautification project, Dogwood Arts began with a mission to transform Knoxville’s image — literally and figuratively. Locals planted dogwood trees and created scenic Dogwood Trails to showcase the area's lush landscape. What started as a beautification initiative grew into a full-fledged nonprofit organization that now produces 20+ events and programs throughout the year.
Dogwood Arts continues to promote and celebrate the art, culture, and natural beauty of the region. Their work includes:
The Dogwood Trails: Over 85 miles of driving trails wind through Knoxville’s most picturesque neighborhoods, showcasing blooming trees, gardens, and landscapes each spring.
Art Exhibitions & Workshops: Dogwood Arts supports local artists through curated exhibits, studio tours, and educational events year-round.
Live Performances: From music and dance to spoken word and theater, the organization promotes local talent across all art forms.
Youth Programs: Dogwood Arts also invests in the next generation with arts-in-education initiatives and youth-focused activities.
Open Gardens & Walking Trails: Stroll through some of Knoxville’s most beautifully maintained private gardens and outdoor spaces — open to the public during special events.
Each April, Knoxville hosts one of its biggest cultural events: the Dogwood Arts Festival.
The festival features:
Over 100 fine art vendors
Live music & entertainment
Local food trucks & beverage vendors
Interactive activities for kids
And plenty of springtime charm
Whether you’re a long-time local or just visiting, this event is a must-see!
